Enter into His Rest

(Heb 4:9 The Scriptures 1998+) So there remains a Sabbath-keeping for the people of Elohim.
(Heb 4:10 The Scriptures 1998+) For the one, having entered into His rest, has himself also rested from his works, as Elohim rested from His own.
(Heb 4:11 The Scriptures 1998+) Let us therefore do our utmost to enter into that rest, lest anyone fall after the same example of disobedience. (Heb 3:18)

This subject is actually larger than I thought. There are many concepts that the reader must faithfully clear, personally. And the context actually span from Hebrews chapter 1, to the creation of the Sabbath, the Exodus, Yahushua Messiah and the 7th millenium. So, I quoted portion of passage narratives here in selected Hebrew Roots Bible versions to show you some comparisons and of course, the verses here are also tagged in KJV, so if you hover your mouse over the verse, you will read the KJV.

My purpose in quoting a couple narratives here, is to include a couple of the obvious context. I will not be surprised if somewhere along you will find yourself manifesting the "Barriers To Learning". You must handle them accordingly, faithfully. I know, it will take time, but patience is a virtue. Some of the concepts of the context or perspective you have to determine and clear yourselves. (i.e. Priest, Priesthood, Apostle, Torah and Levitical Law and more) I hope to point the more obvious in this study for you to get started with. This is not a complete study in itself.

A Word of Wisdom: In this study, I will no longer demonstrate clearing data extensively as I have demonstrated in "The Evolution of the 'Godhead'", using the rules in "Learning How To Learn" and "How To Build Stable Data". Please review these rules. I trust that you are already familiar with this and are responsible and take responsibility for yourselves to clear the concept of the data presented here. If not, please take a refresher, it will be worth your while. Do not take my word and what I try to present here. Rather, take what I presented here as your starting point to clear for yourselves, the data, using the tools I freely share here. And may the Ruach YHWH move you who are honestly seeking the truth. Ahmein!!!

Introducing Yahushua: Apostle/Emissary and High Priest

(Heb 1:1 The Scriptures 1998+)  Elohim, having of old spoken in many portions and many ways to the fathers by the prophets, (Pr 30:4)
(Heb 1:2 The Scriptures 1998+)  has in these last days spoken to us by the Son, whom He has appointed heir of all, through whom also He made the ages, (John 1:3.)
(Heb 1:3 HRB)  for He is the brightness of His glory, and the express image of His being, and upholding all things by the power of His Word; having made purification of our sins through Himself, He sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high, (Psa. 110:1)
(Heb 1:4 RNKJV)  Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.
(Heb 1:5 The Scriptures 1998+)  For to which of the messengers did He ever say, “You are My Son, today I have brought You forth”? (Ps. 2:7) And again, “I shall be to Him a Father, and He shall be to Me a Son”? (2 Sa. 7:14)
(Heb 1:6 HRB)  And again, when He brought the First-born into the world, He said, "And let all the cherubs of Elohim worship Him." (Ex. 32:43)
(Heb 2:1 HRB)  For this reason it is needful for us more abundantly to take heed to the things having been heard so that we should not fall away.
(Heb 2:2 The Scriptures 1998+)  For if the word spoken through messengers proved to be firm, and every transgression and disobedience received a right reward,
(Heb 2:3 The Scriptures 1998+)  how shall we escape if we neglect so great a deliverance, which first began to be spoken by the Master, and was confirmed to us by those that heard,
(Heb 2:4 RNKJV)  YHWH also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Set-apart Spirit, according to his own will?
(Heb 2:5 HRB)  For He did not put the coming world under cherubs, about which we speak,
(Heb 2:6 HRB)  but one fully testified somewhere, saying, "What is man, that You are mindful of him; or the son of man, that You look upon him?
(Heb 2:7 The Scriptures 1998+)  “You have made him a little lower than the messengers.1 You have crowned him with esteem and respect, and set him over the works of Your hands. Footnote: 1 According to the Greek text. However, this is quoted from Ps. 8:5 which reads Elohim, which makes more sense.
(Heb 2:8 HRB)  You subjected all things under his feet." For in order to subject all things under him, He left nothing not subjected to him. But now we do not yet see all things being subject to him; (Psa. 8:4-6)
(Heb 2:9 RNKJV)  But we see Yahushua, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour (Psa 8:6); that he by the favour of YHWH, should taste death (Isa 53:8) for every man.
(Heb 2:10 HRB)  For it was fitting for Him, because of whom are all things, and through whom are all things, having brought many sons to glory, so that from the very beginning of their salvation they are made perfect through sufferings.
(Heb 2:11 The Scriptures 1998+)  For both He who sets apart and those who are being set apart are all of One, for which reason He is not ashamed to call them brothers,
(Heb 2:12 The Scriptures 1998+)  saying, “I shall announce Your Name to My brothers,1 in the midst of the congregation I shall sing praise to You.” Footnote: 1 Ps. 22:22, Ps. 45:17, John 17:6,26
(Heb 2:13 RNKJV)  And again, I will put my trust in him.1 And again, Behold I and the children which YHWH hath given me.2 Footnote: 1 Isa. 12:2, 8:17; 2 Isa. 8:18
(Heb 2:14 The Scriptures 1998+)  Therefore, since the children share in flesh and blood, He Himself similarly shared in the same, so that by means of His death He might destroy him having the power of death, that is, the devil,
(Heb 2:15 HRB)  and might release them, who, through fear of death, are all their lives subject to bondage.
(Heb 2:16 HRB)  For He did not take on the likeness of cherubs, "but He takes on Him the seed of Abraham." (Isa. 41:8, 9, Gen. 12:1-2)
(Heb 2:17 The Scriptures 1998+)  So in every way He had to be made like His brothers (Heb 2:11), in order to become a compassionate and trustworthy High Priest in matters related to Elohim, to make atonement for the sins of the people. (Isa 53:8,49:7)
(Heb 2:18 The Scriptures 1998+)  For in what He had suffered, Himself being tried (Isa 53:10,11), He is able to help those who are tried.
(Heb 3:1 The Scriptures 1998+)  Therefore, set-apart brothers, partakers of the heavenly1 calling, closely consider the Emissary/Apostle and High Priest2 of our confession, Messiah יהושע,

Footnote 1: The Aramaic word is 'qarya' which comes from the root of "varyikra" which is the name of the book of Leviticus. Paul is making a word play on the changing of the Levitical priesthood to Melchizedek.[HRB2012 margin]

Footnote 2: Paul uses the Aramaic word Kumrea, instead of Cohen for priest showing that Yahshua was a High Priest of Melchizedek not Levi. A large portion of this epistle is to show the change of priesthood. (1Pe 2:9)[HRB2012 margin]

(Heb 3:2 HRB)  "being faithful" to Him who appointed Him, as also "Moses was faithful in all his house.1" (Num. 12:7)

Footnote 1: Both Moses and Yahshua were mediators, deliverers, intercessors and prophets who got direct revelation from YHWH without an intermediary. [HRB2012 margin]

Therefore if we believe not in him, we shall be more worthy of punishment than hardhearted Israel at Exodus in the Wilderness.

YHWH's Rest In Context Of This Study

(Heb 3:11 The Scriptures 1998+)  “As I swore in My wrath, ‘If they shall enter into My rest...’ ” (Psa. 95:7-11; Gen 49:15; Psa 23:1-4,5,6; Isa 28:12,66:1; Ruth 1:9; 1Ki 8:56)

(Heb 3:18 OJB)  And to whom did He swear that they would not enter into the menuchah (resting place) of Him? Was it not to the ones without mishma'at (obedience)?

(Heb 4:9 The Scriptures 1998+)  So there remains a Sabbath-keeping for the people of Elohim.

(Heb 4:10 RNKJV)  For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as YHWH did from his.

(Heb 3:18 HRB)  And to whom did "He swear, they would not enter into His rest," except to those not obeying? (Psa. 95:11)

(Heb 4:11 The Scriptures 1998+)  Let us therefore do our utmost to enter into that rest, lest anyone fall after the same example of disobedience. Heb 3:17,18,4:6

Paul's Entreaty

Paul is entreating All to enter into "YHWH's Rest" and warning All to Beware of "rebellion" and "unbelief", because Elohim will cut off All who rebel and believe not. Reminding us what our forefathers have done in the wilderness after the Exodus by Which grieved the Father, and so they were not able to enter into Canaan -- the promise land. This is atypical account of the last days events where YHWH's Rest, ultimate rest for us, the promised rest, is the 7th millenium that we are eagerly looking forward to.

The keywords here are "rebellion" and "unbelief". This means there is something we need to take heed to, to follow YHWH's instructions in the process of "entering" Into His Rest. We will soon find out what this is.

(Heb 3:7 The Scriptures 1998+)  Therefore, as the Set-apart Spirit says, “Today, if you hear His voice,
(Heb 3:8 The Scriptures 1998+)  do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion, in the day of trial in the wilderness,
(Heb 3:9 The Scriptures 1998+)  where your fathers tried Me, proved Me, and saw My works forty years.
(Heb 3:10 The Scriptures 1998+)  “Therefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, ‘They always go astray in their heart, and they have not known My ways.’
(Heb 3:11 The Scriptures 1998+)  “As I swore in My wrath, ‘If they shall enter into My rest...’ ” (Psa. 95:7-11; Gen 49:15; Psa 23:1-3,4-6; Isa 28:12,66:1; Ruth 1:9; 1Ki 8:56)
(Heb 3:12 HRB)  Beware, therefore, my brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart which does not believe, and you will be cutoff from the living Elohim.
(Heb 3:13 The Scriptures 1998+)  but encourage one another daily, while it is called “Today,”(Psa 95:7) lest any of you be hardened(Deut 9:27) by the deceivableness of sin.
(Heb 3:14 The Scriptures 1998+)  For we have become partakers of Messiah if we hold fast the beginning of our trust firm to the end,
(Heb 3:15 HRB)  as in the saying, "Today, if you hear even the echoes of His voice, do not harden your hearts to anger Him." (Psa. 95:7,8)
(Heb 3:16 The Scriptures 1998+)  For who, having heard, rebelled? Was it not all who came out of Mitsrayim, led by Mosheh?
(Heb 3:17 HRB)  But with whom was He angry forty years? Was it not with the ones sinning, whose bones lay in the wilderness? (Num 14:29)
(Heb 3:18 OJB)  And to whom did He swear that they would not enter into the menuchah (resting place) of Him? Was it not to the ones without mishma'at (obedience)?
(Heb 3:18 HRB)  And to whom did "He swear, they would not enter into His rest," except to those not obeying? (Psa. 95:11)
(Heb 3:19 HRB)  So we see that they were not able to enter in because of unbelief.

Paul is clearly telling us who are those who will be cut off of Elohim, who will not enter into His Rest. They are Those who are sinning and not obeying. (Heb 3:17,18)

Scripture Definition of "Rest" in Heb 4:9

Gen 2:2,3 = Set-Apart
Psa 95:7 = Pasture
Gen 49:15 = Pleasant land, resting place
Psa 23:1-6 = Providence, Green pastures, Waters of rest, Divine guidance & restoration, Protection, Comfort, Blessing, Sanctification or Set-Apartness, Goodness & mercy, House of YHWH
Psa 62:5 = rest in Elohim
Isa 28:12 = Repose for the weary
Isa 66:1 = Sanctuary or House of YHWH
Ruth 1:9 = Assurance and proper direction
1Ki 8:56 = Faithfulness of YHWH's covenant to His people Israel
Mat 11:29 =  yoke of Yahushua
2Th 2:10 = be saved from delusions
Rev 3:10 = Deliverance from trials

Sidenote: We will not clear all concepts here, but we will touch on the obvious ones. Remember if you notice any manifestations of the "Barriers To Learning", you have to handle it immediately before you can move on. You have to find which concept you need to clear. The concept may not have been covered here because it may not be very important, but to you, if you manifest the "Barriers To Learning" somehow it is, even to just have a point of view.

The Promised Rest And Warning

Heb 4:1-3,4-6,7-9,10,11 (Ref Tagged in KJV)

The following are in various Hebrew Roots Versions:

(Heb 4:1 HRB) Therefore, Let us fear, lest while the promise of entering into his rest remains, lest some among you find that they are falling short from entering.
(Heb 4:2 HRB) For, indeed, we have had the good news preached to us, even as they also; but the Word did not profit those hearing it, not having been mixed with faith in the ones who heard.
(Heb 4:3 RNKJV) For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
(Heb 4:4 RNKJV) For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And Elohim did rest the seventh day from all his works.

Please note: "the works were finished from the foundation of the world." (Heb 4:3) Is the Sabbath Rest that was created also when the world was created. (Heb 4:4)

(Heb 4:5 The Scriptures 1998+) and in this again, “If they shall enter into My rest...”

Paul is telling about the "process" of entering into "My (YHWH's) rest".

(Heb 4:6 The Scriptures 1998+) Since then it remains for some to enter into it, and those who formerly received the Good News did not enter in because of disobedience, (Heb 3:18)

So this "process" if not followed or obeyed, is the reason we cannot enter into His rest.

(Heb 4:7 HRB)  He again marks out a certain day, saying in David, Today after so long a time, according as He has said, "Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts." (Psa. 95:7, 8)

NOTE: "marks out a certain day" -- meaning -- this rest is a "certain day" -- the Sabbath rest and the 7th millenium.

And a warning that from the time we hear the Word -- the good news -- where the instructions of the process to enter into His Rest is -- "do not harden your hearts" For then you will be provoked, tried, tested, tempted. (Psa 95:7,8) -- meaning -- if you hear the Word and find it that it contradicts with what you presently believed, you might be believing in an untruth (twisted truth), and you must verify the Word, the teaching/s, taking responsibility for yourselves to clear it, personally, firsthand. So that it would become Stable Data to you.

(Heb 4:8 HRB) For if Joshua the son of Nun had given them rest, then He would not have afterward spoken about another day.

Here's the qualifier (Heb 4:8): the land of Canaan was not the promised rest that YHWH was talking about, but it is atypical of the 7th millenium, which the Sabbath rest points to.

NOTE: The Exodus Israelites, most of them did not enter the land of promise -- Canaan -- because of disobedience. Their bones remain in the wilderness.(Num 14:29) Only those who believe and obedient were able to enter the promise land. The Exodus account is recorded as a typical of the last day events to happen. So in the last days of earth's history, many also will not be able to enter the promise rest because of unbelief and disobedience.

(Heb 4:9 The Scriptures 1998+) So there remains a Sabbath-keeping for the people of Elohim.

Therefore, we, who are Israelites by virtue of Yahushua Messiah, continue to rehearse a Sabbath-keeping, this is the "process" of entering into the Father's rest.

(Heb 4:10 The Scriptures 1998+) For the one, having entered into His rest, has himself also rested from his works, as Elohim rested from His own. (Gen 2:2)

Because if we enter into His Sabbath rest, we also rested from all our works, "as Elohim [the Father also rested] from His own." (Heb 4:10)

(Heb 4:11 The Scriptures 1998+) Let us therefore do our utmost to enter into that rest, lest anyone fall after the same example of disobedience. (Heb 3:18)

YHWH's Rest: The Sabbath Rest, The 7th Millenium

There were 6 days for creation,(Gen 1:1-2:4) the 7th day was the rest of the Sabbath,(Gen 2:2, Heb 4:4) there is 6,000 yrs for mans' self motivated system, then the 7th millennium will be the rest of YHWH and His kingdom to this earth. One must fully believe this and live for that rest (kingdom) each day. The Sabbath is a weekly reminder of that rest and kingdom. (Ps 90:4, 2 Pe 3:8)[HRB2012 margin]

(Gen 2:2 The Scriptures 1998+) And on the seventh day Elohim completed His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had made.

(Heb 4:4 RNKJV) For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And Elohim did rest the seventh day from all his works.

The Sabbath rest, points to YHWH's rest, the 7th millenium. And we are to rehearse it today.

(Psa 90:4 The Scriptures 1998+) For a thousand years in Your eyes Are like yesterday that has past, Or like a watch in the night.

(2Pe 3:8 The Scriptures 1998+)  But, beloved ones, let not this one matter be hidden from you: that with יהוה one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

Albert Barne's Notes on the Bible:
"Hebrews 4:10
For he that is entered into rest - That is, the man who is so happy as to reach heaven, will enjoy a rest similar to what God had when he finished the work of creation. It will be:
(1) a cessation from toil; and,
(2) it will be a rest similar to that of God - the same kind of enjoyment, the same freedom from care, anxiety, and labor.
How happy then are they who have entered into heaven! Their toils are over. Their labors are done. Never again will they know fatigue. Never more will they feel anxious care. "

NOTE:  The Sabbath Rest is a reminder. A rehearsal we ought to do as instructed. The seventh millenium is YHWH's Rest, the Sabbath rest that Heb 4:9-11 is about.

The command to "Rest"

In this study we will touch on the specific Torah or instruction: That is to "Rest".

Please NOTE: We are clearing here Paul's instructions in Hebrews 4:1-11 specifically. This is what most of Christendom call the New Covenant Torah concerning the Sabbath rest. This passage is a point of contention for many. And may I remind you, that if your doctrine is being contended, it means, you have the love and mercy of YHWH that he calls you to clear the doctrine (whatever doctrine in contention) for yourself, personally, firsthand. It means, to take responsibility for yourselves, personally, to clear the doctrine, and any doctrine. So that you will be grounded on the Absolute Truth -- Stable Data. So that the love of the truth shall be given to you, that you will not be deceived, that you will be saved.

Our time is getting shorter and shorter each day, for work. Then work shall be no more. When that day comes, the work is complete, and no more people will be converted, our fates will have been sealed for eternal life or for eternal damnation--no more hope of eternal life, life shall be no more. And if one is hardened of unbelief then one is comparable to a "zombie" already, even today.(1Ti 2:10, 2Ti 3:5) But That day is fast approaching, we see already the works of lawlessness or Torah-less-ness.(1Ti 2:10, 2Ti 3:5) This is the time of provocation, trials, temptation, and strife. (Psa 95:7,8)

Let us begin here with Paul telling us about the Torah or Instruction concerning the Sabbath. (Heb 4:4) And the background information on Hebrews chapters 1 to 3 is about the account of the Israelites on Exodus and in the wilderness. So, let us go back to these accounts in the Torah. Also, remember, we are told to clear ALL doctrines by the Torah and the testimony. (Isa 8:20) If the doctrine agrees with the Torah and the testimony, it is cleared. So, let us verify if what Paul is telling us is indeed in the Torah or agrees with the Torah.

Paul here is actually telling us to clear what he is preaching by the Torah, specifically the Torah of the Sabbath. In Hebrews chapters 1 and 2, Paul is also telling us to listen and heed to what the Master, Yahushua is teaching us, given in the first few paragraphs of this document, which we will also get into shortly.

The first mention of this rest is in the seventh-day of the creation week. (Gen 2:2)

(Gen 2:2 The Scriptures 1998+) And on the seventh day Elohim completed His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had made.

And fast-forward to the Exodus account, our fore-fathers were instructed to keep the Sabbath rest.

(Exo 16:23 The Scriptures 1998+) And he said to them, “This is what יהוה has said, ‘Tomorrow is a rest, a Sabbath set-apart to יהוה. That which you bake, bake; and that which you cook, cook. And lay up for yourselves all that is left over, to keep it until morning.’ ”
(Exo 16:30 The Scriptures 1998+) So the people rested on the seventh day1. Footnote: The seventh day of the week, the weekly Sabbath, was observed before the Ten Words were given on Mt. Sinai.
(Exo 20:8 The Scriptures 1998+) “Remember the Sabbath day, to set it apart.
(Exo 31:13 The Scriptures 1998+) “And you, speak to the children of Yisra’ĕl, saying, ‘My Sabbaths you are to guard, by all means, for it is a sign1 between Me and you throughout your generations, to know that I, יהוה, am setting you apart. Footnote: 1The only sign of יהוה setting us apart, the only sign of the everlasting covenant, is His Sabbaths, one of them being the seventh day Sabbath. This is repeated in Ezek. 20:12 & 20.
(Exo 31:16 The Scriptures 1998+) ‘And the children of Yisra’ĕl shall guard the Sabbath, to observe the Sabbath throughout their generations as an everlasting covenant.
(Exo 31:17 The Scriptures 1998+)  ‘Between Me and the children of Yisra’ĕl it is a sign forever. For in six days יהוה made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day He rested and was refreshed.’ ”
(Deu 5:15 The Scriptures 1998+)  ‘And you shall remember that you were a slave in the land of Mitsrayim, and that יהוה your Elohim brought you out from there by a strong hand and by an outstretched arm. Therefore יהוה your Elohim commanded you to observe the Sabbath day.

NOTE: The children of Yisra'el are those who believed and obeyed, just like Abraham. YHWH preached to Abraham and he believed -- obeyed the commands of YHWH with faith. This is the righteousness by faith, or the faith of Abraham.

So, if one believes on the Father and the Son, then one is also an Israelite.

(Gal 3:8 RNKJV) And the scripture, foreseeing that YHWH would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the glad tidings unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed.
(Gen 26:5 The Scriptures 1998+) because Aḇraham obeyed My voice and guarded My Charge: My commands, My laws, and My Torot1.” Footnote: 1Torot - plural of Torah, teaching

NOTE in the following verses where "Greek" is, it means "non-Jew" or anybody who believes and follow or walk the Way. The Way is what Yahushua fully preached.

(Rom 1:16 RNKJV) For I am not ashamed of the glad tidings of the Messiah: for it is the power of YHWH unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
(Rom 10:12 RNKJV) For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Sovereign over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
(Gal 3:28 RNKJV) There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in the Messiah Yahushua.
(Col 3:11 RNKJV) Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but the Messiah is all, and in all.

Therefore, when you become a believer of YHWH, and His Son, Yahushua Messiah, you are an Israelite, and you are also to remember, each Sabbath, that YHWH, your Elohim, brought your fore-fathers out of Egypt, out of bondage, with a strong and mighty hand. (Deut 5:15)

Yahushua and the Sabbath "Rest"

Let us recount The Sabbath Rest in the Torah:

(Exo 31:13 RNKJV)  Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my Sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am YHWH that doth sanctify you.
(Exo 31:14a The Scriptures 1998+)  ‘And you shall guard the Sabbath, for it is set-apart to you.
(Exo 31:15a The Scriptures 1998+)  ‘Six days work is done, and on the seventh is a Sabbath of rest, set-apart to יהוה.

(Exo 20:8 The Scriptures 1998+)  “Remember the Sabbath day, to set it apart.
(Exo 20:9 The Scriptures 1998+)  “Six days you labour, and shall do all your work,
(Exo 20:10 The Scriptures 1998+)  but the seventh day is a Sabbath1 of יהוה your Elohim. You do not do any work – you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. Footnote: 1There are other Sabbaths, but this is the weekly Sabbath.
(Exo 20:11 The Scriptures 1998+)  “For in six days יהוה made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore יהוה blessed the Sabbath day and set it apart.
(Deut 5:15 The Scriptures 1998+)  ‘And you shall remember that you were a slave in the land of Mitsrayim, and that יהוה your Elohim brought you out from there by a strong hand and by an outstretched arm. Therefore יהוה your Elohim commanded you to observe the Sabbath day.
(Exo 31:16 The Scriptures 1998+)  ‘And the children of Yisra’ĕl shall guard the Sabbath, to observe the Sabbath throughout their generations as an everlasting covenant.

NOTE: "An everlasting covenant".

everlasting
H5769
עלם    עולם
‛ôlâm  ‛ôlâm
o-lawm', o-lawm'
From H5956; properly concealed, that is, the vanishing point; generally time out of mind (past or future), that is, (practically) eternity; frequentative adverbially (especially with prepositional prefix) always: - always (-s), ancient (time), any more, continuance, eternal, (for, [n-]) ever (-lasting, -more, of old), lasting, long (time), (of) old (time), perpetual, at any time, (beginning of the) world (+ without end). Compare H5331, H5703.

I have heard preachers preached that in the new covenant these have already ceased as a commandment on the stake. But the very definition of the word everlasting means eternity, continuance, eternal, forever, lasting, always, perpetual.

Therefore, any doctrines that teaches contrary to this definitions is untruth or twisted truth. If you feel there is a contention in your heart, YHWH is gracious and merciful unto you, because He is calling you to clear the doctrine and clear that contention for yourself, personally, firsthand. And these are starting points for you.

And Yahushua confirms it, and we will soon find out why the Sabbath-keeping is important a process of entering into YHWH's rest:

(Mat 5:18 The Scriptures 1998+)  “For truly, I say to you, till the heaven and the earth pass away, one jot or one tittle shall by no means pass from the Torah till all be done.1 Footnote: 1 Lk. 16:17.

Question: Has heaven and earth passed away?

Then following that verse Yahushua plainly explained and expanded on the meaning of the Torah, example:

(Mat 5:21 HRB) You have heard that it was said to the ancients "Do not commit murder!" And, whoever commits murder shall be condemned to the Judgment. (Ex. 21; Deut. 5:17)
(Mat 5:22 HRB) But I say to you that anyone who provokes to anger his brother without cause, is condemned to judgment and anyone who should say to his brother, I spit on you is condemned to the assembly, and anyone who should say, you are a coward, is condemned to the Gehenna of fire.

And Yahushua summed up the Torah:

(Mat 22:40 The Scriptures 1998+) “On these two commands hang all the Torah and the Prophets.”

In other words ALL the Torah and the Prophets HANG on These two commands. Meaning -- without these two commands ALL the Torah and the Prophets are not established. And the promised rest is meaningless. Because of these two commands ALL the Torah and the Prophets are "established"(Rom 3:31) until the heavens and the earth pass away. And that makes the promised rest trustworthy.

One more thing. Before the stake Yahushua told the peoples and the His disciples "All Whatsoever":

(Mat 23:1 RNKJV) Then spake Yahushua to the multitude, and to his disciples,
(Mat 23:2 RNKJV) Saying, The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat:
(Mat 23:3 RNKJV)  All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not.

Note: "Moses' Seat" and "All Whatsoever" - Includes the Sabbaths and ALL the Feasts -- Set-Appointed Times of YHWH! (Lev 23)

ALL -- meaning -- the whole quantity. Whatsoever -- meaning -- emphasis, whatever.

After the stake Yahushua Again repeated -- "All Whatsoever" ~

(Mat 28:19 RNKJV) Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, ...
(Mat 28:20 RNKJV) Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the age.

Note: The same words He repeated again --All Whatsoever -- in Both Commands, Before AND After the Stake. Which means "All Whatsoever" in Moses' Seat -- including the Sabbaths and All Set-Appointed Times or Feasts, must be taught to All Nations, including the Jews.

It is understood that Moses’ seat represents the whole Torah. What ended at the stake was foretold by Daniel that the Messiah will put and end to the sacrifice/slaughtering and meal offering:

(Dan 9:27 The Scriptures 1998+) “... he shall put an end to slaughtering and meal offering. ...” Footnote: 1 Mt. 24:15.

(Dan 9:27 HRB) "... he shall cause the sacrifice and the offering to cease. ..."

Therefore, all the teachings of the New Covenant is still subject to Isa 8:20:

(Isa 8:20 HRB) To the Torah and to the Testimony! If they do not speak according to this Word, it is because there is no light to them!

Torah is The Way:

(Jos 1:8 The Scriptures 1998+) “Do not let this Book of the Torah depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you guard to do according to all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and act wisely.
(Psa 119:1 The Scriptures 1998+) Blessed are the perfect in the way, Who walk in the Torah of יהוה!
(Psa 119:29 The Scriptures 1998+) Remove from me the way of falsehood, And favour me with Your Torah.
(Mal 2:8 The Scriptures 1998+) “But you, you have turned from the way, you have caused many to stumble in the Torah. You have corrupted the covenant of Lĕwi,” said יהוה of hosts.
(Acts 24:14 The Scriptures 1998+) “And this I confess to you, that according to the Way which they call a sect, so I worship the Elohim of my fathers, believing all that has been written in the Torah and in the Prophets,

Torah is Truth:

(Neh 9:13 The Scriptures 1998+) “And You came down on Mount Sinai, and spoke with them from the heavens, and gave them straight right-rulings and Torah of truth1, good laws and commands. Footnote: 1Traditionally rendered laws of truth, of which we also read in Mal. 2:6, while it is rendered in Rom. 2:20 as the truth in the law.
(Psa 119:142 The Scriptures 1998+) Your righteousness is righteousness forever, And Your Torah is truth.
(Dan 9:13 The Scriptures 1998+) “As it is written in the Torah of Mosheh, all this evil has come upon us, and we have not entreated the face of יהוה our Elohim, to turn back from our crookednesses, and to study Your truth.
(Mal 2:6 The Scriptures 1998+) “The Torah of truth1 was in his mouth, and unrighteousness was not found on his lips. He walked with Me in peace and straightness, and turned many away from crookedness. Footnote: 1 Neh. 9:13.
(Jn 1:17 The Scriptures 1998+) for the Torah was given through Mosheh – the favour and the truth came through יהושע Messiah.
(Rom 2:20 The Scriptures 1998+) an instructor of foolish ones, a teacher of babes, having the form of knowledge and of the truth in the Torah.1 Footnote: Ps. 147:19, Rom. 3:2, Rom. 9:4.

Torah is Life:

(Pr 6:23 The Scriptures 1998+) For the command is a lamp, And the Torah a light1, And reproofs of discipline a way of life, Footnote: 1 Ps. 119:105.
(Pr 13:14 The Scriptures 1998+) The Torah of the wise is a fountain of life, Turning one away from the snares of death.
(Rom 8:2 The Scriptures 1998+) For the Torah of the Spirit of the life in Messiah יהושע has set me free from the law of sin and of death.

Yahushua is the Way, the Truth, and the Life -- meaning -- he is the Living Torah -- an example of how he followed the Torah (fulfilled) -- and he himself commanded us to do "All Whatsoever" in Moses' Seat.

(Jn 14:6 The Scriptures 1998+) יהושע said to him, “I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

Yahushua is the Living Torah ~ The Word became flesh and dwell with us to show us how to follow the Torah -- Mat 23:3 "But do not do according to their works, for they say, and do not do." Note that Paul is also preaching about the same "works" of the Torah throughout his ministry.

(Jn 1:1 RSTNE(1)) Beresheeth/Beginning was the Miltha(2)  the Living Torah(3),  and
the Living Torah was with YHWH, and the Living Torah was YHWH.
(Jn 1:2 RSTNE) The same was in the beginning with YHWH.
(Jn 1:3 RSTNE) All things were made by Him; and without Him was not anything made that was made.

(1) Restoration Scriptures True Name Edition (RSTNE)
(2) Aramaic word is miltha, meaning force, emanation, power, substance and Torah/Word. It is a unique word, to apply a unique term to the many manifestations of YHWH. Unlike the Hebrew davar, or Greek logos, or the Aramaic memra, miltha has no direct equivalent term in any other language including Hebrew. It is a female noun surrounded by two male verbs. This displays the fact that the Creator has dual characteristics of both male and female. This is more proof of the Aramaic primacy of the Renewed Covenant.
(3) The Torah became flesh and thus the Torah is the true eternal word.

Yahushua concluded ---- lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.

The final reasonable question would be ~ Will He be 'with us' as promised when we do or teach "NOT All Whatsoever" to ALL nations?

BEWARE!

How Do We "Enter" into His (the Father's) Rest?

definition of "Enter" - English
G1525
εἰσέρχομαι
eiserchomai
ice-er'-khom-ahee
From G1519 and G2064; to enter (literally or figuratively): - X arise, come (in, into), enter in (-to), go in (through).

This is an action word. It requires one to act. Let us see what kind of action.

From the background information above we gleaned several hints already:

(Heb 3:18 HRB)  And to whom did "He swear, they would not enter into His rest," except to those not obeying? (Psa. 95:11)
(Heb 3:19 HRB)  So we see that they were not able to enter in because of unbelief.
(Heb 4:11 The Scriptures 1998+)  Let us therefore do our utmost to enter into that rest, lest anyone fall after the same example of disobedience. (Heb 3:18)

Our keyword here is unbelief and disobedience. To learn more and clear this concept of unbelief and disobedience you have to go back to the account of the Israelites' Exodus in Egypt and in the Wilderness and clear many things. Remember, the Exodus account is atypical to our last days events.

The Torah or Instruction of YHWH concerning the "Rest", tells us how to "enter" into His "Rest":

First ~ How-To = Obedience:

(Exo 16:29 The Scriptures 1998+) “... Let each one stay in his place, do not let anyone go out of his place on the seventh day.”
(Exo 20:10 The Scriptures 1998+) ...You do not do any work – you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. Footnote: 1There are other Sabbaths, but this is the weekly Sabbath. This applies to All the Sabbaths.

Next ~ "Sanctify" It or in clear language "Set It Apart" from all the rest of the days --

(Exo 20:8 The Scriptures 1998+) “Remember the Sabbath day, to set it apart.

How-To Set It Apart is -- To Remember that it is the Sabbath of YHWH your Elohim, That He created the heavens and the earth in six days, and Set Apart the Seventh-Day. Remember that YHWH, your Elohim, brought our forefathers out of Egypt with a strong and mighty hand.(Deut 5:15) Remember, there is neither Jew or non-Jew through Yahushua, Messiah. (Rom 1:16,10:12, Gal 3:28, Col 3:11) This is our worship. And also Remember to worship HIM in Spirit and in Truth.(Jn 4:23,24)

Please note: that it helps to go back to the Hebrew Roots of our faith to clear the concept of the Sabbath-keeping rest. Search the Internet and learn from Judaism, Mezzianic and Hebraic Roots Movement. You will learn of the ceremonies, ritual and liturgy -- these are the "works" of the Torah the Messiah was talking about,(Mat 23:3) and Paul was preaching against. We can still do these today if we choose to, these are not forbidden. It will certainly strengthen our belief or faith. But These alone do not hold substance. So beware of falling into the trap of its "works" as did the Pharisees. Because Today, we are to worship YHWH in Spirit and in Truth, for YHWH, our Elohim, blessed be His Name, is a Spirit (Ruach -- literally wind, breath).

Let's continue:

Question: -- What is The Significance of the Sabbath or the Rest of YHWH?

Answer: -- It is a Sign of Oneness with YHWH, our Creator. And Then the most important thing happens -- YHWH Sanctifies us or Set Us Apart -- meaning -- YHWH let us IN into His "Rest":

(Exo 31:13 RNKJV) Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my Sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am YHWH that doth sanctify you.
(Exo 31:14a The Scriptures 1998+) ‘And you shall guard the Sabbath, for it is set-apart to you.
(Exo 31:15a The Scriptures 1998+) ‘Six days work is done, and on the seventh is a Sabbath of rest, set-apart to יהוה.

Please NOTE: The Sabbath is a process of Sanctification or in clear language, the process of Setting It Apart or precisely, the process of Setting Us Apart by YHWH, our Elohim. This process involves two parties. There are two participants in this process. The Creator, YHWH, and man.

This process is created from the beginning for man. And this process is set into motion by man when man chose to enter, and entering means to obey -- the how-to -- to Remember, the Rest, to Set It Apart. When man have done this, YHWH will recognize the Sign, for IT IS a Sign between Him and man. So that He then Sanctifies man, or Set man apart from all others -- meaning -- He Let man IN into His Rest.

Yahushua said:

(Mar 2:27 The Scriptures 1998+) ...“The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath.

The Sabbath was made for man in the beginning so that man can enter into the Rest of YHWH. Because, as Paul puts it, "Elohim from the beginning chose you to be saved." But it takes two participants for one to be saved. YHWH and one. But YHWH already created a vehicle from the beginning, one just need to sit on the driver's seat and get it started. ~

(2Th 2:13 The Scriptures 1998+) But we ought to give thanks to Elohim always for you, brothers, beloved by the Master, because Elohim from the beginning chose you to be saved – in set-apartness of Spirit, and belief in the truth Eph. 1:4.

Sanctification of the Spirit

How are we saved? (Or How are we entered into YHWH's Rest?)

Answer: By "Sanctification of the Spirit" or in clear language -- "Set-Apartness of Spirit, and belief in the truth".

Let us start with the first part: "Sanctification of the Spirit" or "Set-Apartness of Spirit".

Please note "of Spirit" -- means -- whoever originated the "process of Sanctification" or the "process of Set-Apartness" or in short, the "Sabbath". We know YHWH created the Sabbath rest, therefore "of Spirit" is in other words "of YHWH" the "Rest of YHWH". Therefore: "Set-Apartness of Spirit" means "Set-Apartness of YHWH, the Father" for YHWH is the Creator of the Sabbath for man.

But Paul use the word "Spirit" here which means "Breath, Air, Breeze, Wind". Because Yahushua also preached:

(Jn 4:23 The Scriptures 1998+) “But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father also does seek such to worship Him.
(Jn 4:24 The Scriptures 1998+) “Elohim is Spirit, and those who worship Him need to worship in spirit and truth.”

Please note: Throughout the Scripture, the word "Spirit" is either used figuratively, which do not conjure beingness as we are led to believe; or literally as "Breath, Air, Breeze, Wind" as "Spirit of Elohim" and in the case above. Please read the "Evolution of the 'Godhead'".

Therefore: "Sanctification of Spirit" means "Sanctification of the Father in Spirit and in Truth" when we worship Him in Spirit and in Truth, we are thus "Sanctified" or in clear language "Set Apart" which means we are IN the Father's Rest. The Sabbath-keeping rest is a rehearsal of this rest, the 7th millenium.

Today the Father does not need a building to meet us to Set us Apart. The body is the temple. (Jn 2:21, 1Co 6:19) But we also need to Set-Apart our body for the Spirit of YHWH to dwell in us. We are to remember the Torah of Moses. (Mal 4:4-6) And to take heed according to the instructions of Yahushua concerning the Torah.(Mat 11:29, Jer 6:16)

Again Ex 31:13 says: "that ye may know that I am YHWH that doth sanctify you".  -- meaning -- "Sanctification of YHWH, Spirit, the Father" in Spirit and in Truth.

Belief In The Truth

Next in the Answer above is "belief in the truth". The Word/Torah is Truth, and Yahushua is the Truth (Jn 14:6), the Living Torah or the Living Word. Therefore, what He preached is Truth, and if we do not believed in Him -- meaning -- we do not follow what he teaches or preached, about the Word/Torah, then we cannot enter in the Father's Rest. (Jn 3:16)

Therefore, "belief in the truth" is a process of conversion, from hearing the Word,(Heb 4:12) then believing and following/obeying the instructions (Torah) in Messiah (Mat 11:29) -- and the whole concept means -- "belief in the truth".

Yahushua is the Way, the Truth, and the Life (Jn 14:6) -- meaning --

  • He is the Living Torah.(Jn 1:1-3)
  • He fulfilled the Torah. (Mat 5:17,18) -- meaning -- He followed/obeyed the Torah -- He did not once offer a sin offering because He was not found wanting -- He did not sin.
  • He teaches us how to follow the Torah. (Mat 23:3)
  • He put an end to the slaughter of animals for sacrifice and for meal offerings at the stake.(Dan 9:27)
  • He is the manifestation of the Father.(Jn 1:18,6:46,14:9 1Jn 4:14)
  • He is the Judge, for the Father does not Judge.(Jn 5:22)
  • He preached that whoever believes the Father, who sent the Son, shall have everlasting life.(Jn 5:24)
  • That whoever believes on Him, Yahushua, shall have everlasting life.(Jn 3:16)

Yahushua, Messiah, the Son, The Truth: He has authority to give everlasting life to All whom the Father have given Him.(Jn 17:2)

(Jn 17:1 The Scriptures 1998+) יהושע said these words, and lifted up His eyes to the heaven, and said, “Father, the hour has come. Esteem Your Son, so that Your Son also might esteem You,

Please note: "All whom You (the Father) have given Him (Yahushua)." -- this is actually the process of "Sanctification" or "Set-Apartness" or "Entering Into the Father's Rest".

Which means, the Father's Rest is Yahushua, Messiah. We hear the Word,(Heb 4:12) believe the Messiah and take up His instructions.(Mat 11:29)

-- meaning -- We are IN the Father's Rest When the Father give us to His Son, the Messiah and the Son in turn will give us everlasting life:

(Jn 17:2 The Scriptures 1998+) as You have given Him authority over all flesh, that He should give everlasting life to all whom You have given Him.

So the process of "Sanctification of the Spirit" or "Set-Apartness of Spirit" is set into motion by US firstly. Specifically when we obey the instructions of the "Spirit" (the Father) about the Torah of the Sabbath-keeping rest -- "belief in truth". When the Father, in His act, in Spirit "Sanctifies" or "Set-Apart" US, when we worship Him in Spirit and in Truth, we are given to His Son, Yahushua Messiah, And the Son who has the authority to give everlasting life, will give us everlasting life. This is qualified by "IF we continue to abide in His love".(Jn 15:10, Heb 3:14, 2Th 2:15)

The Father sent His Son, so that we will come to know the Father, the ONLY true Elohim, and Yahushua Messiah, the Father sent.

(Joh 17:3 The Scriptures 1998+) “And this is everlasting life, that they should know You, the only true Elohim, and יהושע Messiah whom You have sent.

That whoever believes on the Father AND the Son, Yahushua, Messiah shall have everlasting life:

(Joh 5:24 The Scriptures 1998+) “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me possesses everlasting life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.
(Joh 3:16 The Scriptures 1998+) “For Elohim so loved the world that He gave His only brought-forth Son, so that everyone who believes in Him should not perish but possess everlasting life

Summary

YHWH's Rest is the Sabbath-keeping rest and the 7th millenium. The Sabbath-keeping rehearsal is a reminder of our One True Elohim and Yahushua Messiah. It also reminds us of YHWH's rest, the 7th millenium. And finally, it empowers man to be sanctified by the Spirit of YHWH.

The Sabbath rest has been created for man in the beginning, for the sanctification of man. This gives man the choice to be redeemed by YHWH. This puts man in the driver's seat of salvation. Man must choose to enter into this Sabbath rest for man to be sanctified. Sabbath-keeping is the process of sanctification of the Spirit, of YHWH. There are two participants in this process of sanctification, YHWH and man.

Man starts the motion by choosing to follow the command, by keeping the Sabbaths of YHWH. Thus the motion of "Sanctification of the Spirit and belief in truth" is started. When man enters into the Sabbath rest, in Spirit and in Truth, YHWH sanctifies man. And gives him to Yahushua Messiah, who has authority to give everlasting life, if man continuous to abide in His love. For this exercise is a perpetual exercise.

YHWH Bless you!
